What is it? - It's All About The Ride. The T-board is the only Snowboard crosstraining product endorsed by the US and Canadian Olympic Snowboard Teams!!! In its first year of inception the T-board was a demo sport with (4 Olympic snowboarders) at the Gravity Games 2002!!! It is not a toy.... like other crosstraining products out there. The T-board allows the hardest carving and the highest turning radius along with eliminating the possibility of speed wobbles!!!!! The T-boards biggest misconception is the degree of difficulty learning to ride. We have riders from the age of 4 to 60 years of age. If anyone buys the T-board and finds it too hard to learn to ride they can send it back and get their money back 2 weeks after they bought it.

Set up to carve the hill just like a snowboard. Ride fast. Carve hard to slow down. No lateral rolling resistance. No wheel bite.
Tips
Basic Stance
The T-Board is not a skateboard. Your feet should be sideways on the board, not facing front. The Board is directional, so make sure you are moving toward the front end of the board (Tierney Rides Type is toward the rear. Face down the slope, legs slightly bent, shoulders turned forward and arms extended for balance).
Turns
Keep your arms in front for balance. Turns are made with the body—not the feet—by leaning forward or backward and from side to side, toward the toe edge or heel edge of the board for steering and speed control.
Slowing / Stopping
For starters, don’t ride beyond your limits. Okay, that said, the best way to reduce your speed is to carve back and forth into the hill in a swooping "s" until you reach a speed you are comfortable with. The best way to stop is simply to—in a controlled manner—step off of the board.

Tips
Basic Stance
The T-Board is not a skateboard. Your feet should be sideways on the board, not facing front. When starting, adopt a stance closer to a snowboarding stance with your feet crossing the board sideways—toe on one rail, heel on the other. Bend your knees. And use your arms out in front of you for balance.
Pushing
The standard skateboard push may be used, with the front leg as the standing leg and the back leg as the pushing leg. Standing leg needs to be sideways when pushing.
Tail Pump
Pumping is a rail to rail motion that causes the board to pick up speed. Throw your weight side to side, making small turns that keep the speed up or increase speed.

Torsion  
Others have tried. We made it work. Our exclusive patent-pending Torsion Response Technology™ makes serious, aggressive, street carving possible. It lets you carve naturally through your turns and cruise with less rolling resistance, greater control and a totally fluid ride feel. As you lean into your turn, the truck twists, accelerating you into the carve. The Torsion Rings compress to provide active feedback, accelerating you back to center as you exit the carve. All you have to really understand is that you can pick your line and carve as hard as you want.

Custom Torsion Resistance - By utilizing Torsion Rings of different durometers, you can customize the action of your T-Board. Generally speaking, you want to minimize torsion in the rear truck and choose a durometer level for the front truck that suits your body weight and riding style. A higher durometer rating means increased resistance in the truck, allowing for a more forceful carve. Lower durometers take less pressure to turn and are best for slower, slalom style riding. The 35 and 65 torsion rings come standard with purchase of a T-Board

| Tierney Rides new board holds many advantages. First, by switching from aircraft steel to aircraft aluminum trucks, we've cut the weight in half. Lighter trucks allow for easier skate tricks. Also, we have redesigned the trucks to make them simpler and more reliable. We use fewer parts; therefore, less can go wrong. And, if something does, a two year old could fix it. Our new castor trucks rely on the same bearing technology used in bicycle headsets for decades, making the new design "bullet proof" and far simpler to maintain. Not only is our new design lighter, more dependable and easier to maintain, but it also has a better ride feel. The new bushings deliver a more responsive truck action. There is more snap-back/spring in our front trucks. The new bushings last indefinitely. Even pumping off the front truck to generate momentum (the most abusive thing you can do to our bushings) we have been unable to determine the lifespan of the new bushings because they hold up that good. Our first prototype of this design has been getting abused for months and we have not had to replace the bushing. In short, bushing life is no longer a problem. |

- All sports carry a risk of injury. Sometimes accidents happen which are truly unavoidable but usually there are ways to reduce the risks of anything nasty happening.
1. Always wear protective gear. Helmets, knee, elbow and wrist guards.
2. Inspect your equipment before every session. Check the wheels & trucks for excessive wear. Make sure all bolts are tight and the wheels are seated properly. And examine the platform for cracks or stress lines.
3. Live to play another day. On any new terrain, start slowly. Test the traction limits of your wheels. Carve progressively harder to determine the limits of your comfort zone.
