We are thrilled to announce the retail release of Ktrak's innovative bike kit to the worldwide outdoor sports marketplace. Just in time for the 07/08 Winter Season, the rear-drive track system creates a world of winter biking opportunities. Fresh and groomed snow showcase the track unique design, providing approximately 25 times the traction and floatation of the average mountain bike wheel and when coupled with Ktrak's optional front ski attachment, cross-country and downhill prospects are endless.
Ktrak's first prototype units were introduced to much fan fair at the largest North American bike show. Interbike, in September, 2006. This was followed up by a phenomenal response to the introduction of their first production units at the Eurobike show in Germany in August, 2007. Its unique patented design is creating a buzz in the sporting community, as bike enthusiasts envision the cross-season opportunities made possible with Ktrak.
The Ktrak kit if constructed of quality materials and exceptional workmanship with durability and precision in mind. Universal to almost all makes and models of mountain bikes, the kit is currently available for a 26-inch wheel, and will be made available in 20-inch and 24-inch models later in 2008.

FAQ:
Will it add weight to my bike?
A: It will add some depending on your bike. On most adult mountain bikes after removing the back wheel you will be adding only 5-7 lbs (approx. a six pack of beer).
Is it hard to ride?
A: No.
Is it hard to install?
A: It is very easy to install. Read the manuals & videos as provided on this page.
Are there special tools required?
A: If your bike has a quick release on the axle, then there will be NO tools required. If your bike does not, then a simple household multi wrench will do the job.
Will it fit on my bike?
A: If you bike has a rear wheel & a seat post, then you're good to go.
What brakes are compatible with the Ktrak kit?
A: The Ktrak kit comes with a standard six bolt pattern that is compatible with 6" or 8" disc brake. It is also designed to work with standard caliper or "V" brakes.
Will the Ktrak go uphill?
A: Yes, if you can ride up on your bike without snow, you can do it in the snow with the kit.
Will the Ktrak work on a hard tail or a full-suspension bike?
A: Yes to both. The Ktrak works on any style mountain bike.
How deep can the snow be for the Ktrak to work in?
A: The Ktrak is designed for use in groomed, packed or fresh snow. When the snow depth starts to interfere with your pedal stroke, you may have reached the maximum depth. Snow conditions will affect the performance.
Where is the Ktrak made?
A: The components are manufactured overseas and in Canada. All assembly is at the Krak headquarters in Canada.
Does the Ktrak comes with its own gear?
A: Yes, the Ktrak comes with 6-speed cassette of gears with the same spacing as an 8 or 9-speed cassette.
Is Ktrak available in 29"?
A: Unfortunately, a 29" is currently not available. However, if your 29" has disc brakes then the 26" Ktrak will work.
Can Ktrak be ridden on hard surfaces?
A: Ktrak has been designed for soft or yielding terrain. The track drive design relies on its ability to skid to turn, so althought the Ktrak can operate on hard surfaces, it is not recommended due to the potential for damage and extreme wear.
Will Ktrak work with a 20mm axle?
A: Yes, just specify "20 mm axle" when ordering your Ktrak front ski kit.
Is Ktrak safe?
